Hudson's Bay Company A Canadian retail business group. Incorporated by English royal charter in 1670, the company functioned as the de facto government in parts of North America for nearly 200 years, later evolving into a mercantile business.1

McGill University A public research university in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was established in 1821 by royal charter, granted by King George IV. It bears the name of James McGill, a Montreal merchant originally from Scotland whose bequest in 1813 formed the university's precursor, McGill College.1

No. 162 Squadron RCAF A Royal Canadian Air Force squadron initially formed as a bomber reconnaissance squadron at Nova Scotia in 1942 that performed anti-submarine duty with Canso’s. Later it joined RAF Coastal Command in Iceland and was the RCAF’s most successful anti-submarine squadron during WW2.1

At the outbreak of WW2, it had 11 combat vessels, but by the end of WW2, it had become the fifth-largest navy in the world with over 900 vessels and 375 combat ships.1

Canadian Pacific Air Lines A Canadian airline that operated from 1942 to 1987 and was formed in the early 1940s by the 'Canadian Pacific Railway Company' purchase of many existing 'bush' airlines. Many bush flying pioneers were incorporated into its early management.1
Canadian Pacific Railway A Canadian railroad incorporated in 1881 owned by Canadian Pacific Railway Limited. It owns approximately 20,000 kilometres of track all across Canada and into the United States. During WW2 it produces Valentine tanks and other armoured vehicles, transported troops and resources across the country and 22 of its ships went to war.2
