Military - Army Brigades
11th Indian Infantry Brigade An Infantry formation of the Indian Army during World War II. In 1939 it was assigned in Egypt to the 4th Indian Infantry Division. In May 1942, it was attached to the 5th Indian Infantry Division and in June the 2nd South African Infantry Division. It was then reformed in October 1943 and assigned to the 4th Indian Division serving in Tunisia, Italy and in Greece.1

4th Infantry Division (India) An infantry division of the Indian Army (known as the Red Eagle Division) formed in Egypt in 1939. During WW2, it took part in campaigns in East Africa (Eritrea and Sudan), Syria, North Africa and Italy.1
Military - Army Regiments
1st Punjab Regiment A regiment of the British Indian Army from 1922 to 1947. It was transferred to the Pakistan Army on independence in 1947, and amalgamated with the 14th, 15th and 16th Punjab Regiments in 1956, to form the Punjab Regiment.1
6th Rajputana Rifles An infantry regiment of the British Indian Army. It was formed in 1922, after the Indian government reformed the army. The regiment served in WW2 and in 1947 was allocated to the new Indian Army as the Rajputana Rifles.2
7th Rajput Regiment An infantry regiment of the British Indian Army. It was formed in 1922, after the Indian government decided to reform the army. After the partition of India in 1947, it was allocated to the new Indian Army and renamed the Rajput Regiment.1
Central India Horse (21st King George V’s Own Horse) A regular cavalry regiment of the British Indian Army. They were formed at the start of the Mutiny of 1857 and served in WW1 and WW2. During WW2, equipped with Light Tanks and Indian Pattern Carriers, it was the divisional reconnaissance regiment for the 4th Indian Division.2
