Name 3rd Infantry Division
Description A regular army division of the British Army created in 1809 as part of the Anglo-Portuguese Army, for service in the Peninsular War. It fought at the Battle of Waterloo, the Crimean War, the Second Boer War, WW1 and WW2. It fought a rearguard action during the Dunkirk Evacuation, and played a prominent role in the D-Day landings.
