Babini, Valentino An Italian general who took part in the conquest of Libya, WW1 and WW2 and also the Spanish Civil War. In Italian North Africa he was commander of the Armoured Brigade Special 'Babini' and was Captured by the British during Operation Compass.1
Badoglio, Pietro, 1st Duke of Addis Abeba, 1st Marquess of Sabotino An Italian general during both World Wars and a Prime Minister of Italy, as well as the first viceroy of Italian East Africa. He was Chief of Staff from 1925 until 1940 when Following the Italian army’s poor performance in the invasion of Greece in December 1940, he resigned from the General Staff.1
Bergonzoli, Annibale An Italian Lieutenant General who commanded the defences of Bardia, Libya, after the offensive into Egypt in 1940. At later British offensive took Bardia forcing the Italians to retreat into Cyrenaica. He surrendered to Australian forces in Feb. 1941, after a disastrous defeat at Beda Fomm.1
Graziani, Rodolfo, 1st Marquis of Neghelli A prominent Italian military officer, noted for his campaigns in Africa before and during WW2. A dedicated fascist and a key figure in the military during the reign of Benito Mussolini. After Italy entered WW2 he returned to Libya as the commander of troops in Italian North Africa but resigned after the 1940-41 British offensive routed his forces.3
Maletti, Pietro An Italian military officer who participated in WW1, the subjugation of Italian North Africa, the Second Italo-Abyssinian War, and WW2. He was killed in action during the early stages of the North Africa Campaign.1
Tellera, Giuseppe An Italian general who was commander of the Italian 10th Army in North Africa during the British counter-offensive 'Operation Compass'. He was killed during the final battle of Beda Fomm.1
