Dickins, Clennell Haggerston 'Punch' A pioneering Canadian aviator and bush pilot. Northern Native Americans called him 'Snow Eagle'; northern Europeans called him 'White Eagle'; while the press dubbed him the 'Flying Knight of the Northland'.1
May, William S. A pilot, navigator and flight instructor who joined Imperial Airways in 1936 and was the captain of the aircraft which opened up the first mail service to Singapore before joining the Atlantic ferry service.1
Schiller, Clarence Alvin 'Duke' A pioneer bush pilot who enlisted in the Royal Flying Corps in 1917 and became a flight instructor. Competing in the New York to Toronto Air Race in 1919, he was an original 1924 member of the Ontario Provincial Air Service. He served in the RAF Ferry Command as an instructor and pilot during WW2, but died making a night landing at Bermuda in 1943.1

Wilson, Morris A Canadian banker who was the president of the Royal Bank of Canada between 1934 and 1946. He was appointed chairman of the British Supply Council in North America in 1941. He was also the head of the Atlantic Ferry Organisation (Atfero), and the North American representative of the British Ministry of Aircraft Production.1
Commercial - Transport
Beatty, Edward Wentworth The first Canadian-born President of the Canadian Pacific Railway. He was responsible for building the Royal York Hotel and later helped establish Canadian Pacific Air Lines. During WW2, he co-ordinated Canadian shipping and rail transport.1
Media
Halton, Matthew A Canadian television journalist, most famous as a foreign correspondent for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation during WW2 including covering the North African campaign. After the end of WW2, he remained in Europe as the network’s senior foreign correspondent, covering the Nuremberg Trials, among other stories.1

Espley, Alexander George An Officer born in Saskatchewan, Canada who was active in the North Africa Campaign. He is listed as an RAF member from Canada sailing on the ship 'Alaunia' in Jul 1938 on his way to RAF Dexford, Leics. After ditching in the sea during Jun 1942, he was later killed off the coast of West Africa on active duty.1
Gobeil, Fowler Morgan A Royal Canadian Air Force officer who was the commander of the first Canadian Squadron in the RAF. No. 242 (Canadian) Squadron was formed at Church Fenton, reporting to RAF Station Biggin Hill on the 21st of May 1940.1

Fry, Eric Stanley A Canadian land surveyor who worked for the Dominion Topographical Survey Branch from 1924. He was loaned to the Royal Canadian Air Force during WW2 to locate a site for a new airfield that was to become Goose Bay Airport.1
McTaggart-Cowan, Patrick Duncan A Canadian meteorologist and the first president of Simon Fraser University. He was the officer in charge of the meteorological service in Newfoundland from 1937 to 1942. During WW2, he was the chief meteorologist for the RAF Ferry Command.1

Selkirk, George Alexander A Canadian Major League Baseball player who played for the New York Yankees 1934-42 and played on 5 World Championship teams.1
