Bennett, Donald Clifford Tyndall An Australian aviation pioneer and bomber pilot who rose to be the youngest air vice marshal in the Royal Air Force. He led the 'Pathfinder Force' from 1942 to the end of WW2.1
Military - Air Force
Coningham, Arthur 'Mary' A senior officer in the RAF during WW2 as Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief 2nd Tactical Air Force, commander of the Western Desert Air Force 1941-1943, and commander of the tactical air forces in the Normandy campaign in 1944. He disappeared in the airliner 'Star Tiger' when it vanished in the Bermuda Triangle.2
Edwards, Hughie Idwal A senior officer in the RAF, Governor of Western Australia, and an Australian recipient of the Victoria Cross. Serving as a bomber pilot, he was decorated with the VC in 1941 for his efforts in leading a bombing raid against the port of Bremen.1

Campbell, Ian An Australian Colonel who commmanded the 2/1st Australian Infantry Battalion during the Battles for Greece and Crete. The battalian were engaged in a strong defence of the Airfield of Retimo on Crete against two battalions of parachute troops.1
Mackay, Sir Iven Giffard An Australian General who commanded the 6th Division in 1940-41 during the successful Western Desert Campaign and the Battle for Greece. In Apr 1942 he assumed command of the Second Army.1
Vasey, George Alan An Australian General who commanded the 19th Infantry Brigade during the Battle of Greece and the Battle of Crete. He was later in command of the 7th Division during various campaigns against the Japanese.1
Military - Navy
Laurie-Rhodes, Ian Desmond A Royal Australian Navy seaman who was the only Australian naval rating to receive the Conspicuous Gallantry Medal during WW2. He was later commissioned in 1942 and joined the cruiser HMS Sheffield serving in the Atlantic and Arctic oceans.1
Waller, Hector Macdonald Laws A Royal Australian Navy officer who served in WW2 as the Commanding Officer of the 10th Destroyer Flotilla from the Destroyer HMAS Stuart supporting Allied troops in North Africa. He later commanded the Light Cruiser HMAS Perth in the South West Pacific where he was killed on 1st Mar 1942 when it was sunk during the Battle of Sunda Strait.1
