Description A British Army officer who was a Games teacher and outstanding footballer prior to WW2. When war was declared he joined the RAF and became the chief parachute instructor at the parachute raining centre at ringway 1941-1945, training thousands of airborne troops. After WW2 he returned to teaching with the RAF, rising to the post of Director of Physical Training.
