Description A Royal Navy officer who commanded the midget submarine HMS X7 during WW2. He was a recipient of the Victoria Cross for an attack on the Tirpitz on 22 Sep 1943. He later commanded the destroyer HMS Tumult, the frigate HMS Rothesay, the training establishment HMS Ganges and the light fleet carrier HMS Albion.
