Name Power, Arthur John
Description A Royal Navy officer who before WW2 commanded the Aircraft Carrier HMS Ark Royal. During WW2 he played a leading role in the planning for the Allied invasion of Sicily and Italy and commanded the naval forces for the landings at Taranto in Italy in September 1943. He went on to be Commander-in-Chief of the East Indies Fleet.
