Description A Royal Navy Officer who was a pioneer of anti-submarine techniques in WW1, and was most famous as an important Naval training commandant during WW2. He set up and ran the training base HMS Western Isles at Tobermory on the Isle of Mull as the Royal Navy’s Anti-Submarine Training School.
