Name Urquhart, Robert Elliot
Description A British Senior Army officer during WW2 who commanded 2nd Battalion, Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry and then the 231st Infantry Brigade, which saw action during the invasion of Sicily and the Italian Campaign. From 1944 he commanded the 1st Airborne Division during Operation Market Garden and the subsequent Operation Doomsday, the Allied reoccupation of Norway. Following the war he became the Director of the Territorial Army and then commanded 16th Airborne Division, 51st/52nd Scottish Division and was General Officer Commanding Malaya Command during the Malayan Emergency.
