Description A British Army Officer who initially joined the Grenadier Guards and later served with the 22nd Independent Company the Parachute Regiment, an airborne pathfinder unit. He commanded one of the first drops into Normandy on 5th June tasked with 'marking' the drop zone for the 1st Canadian and 9th Parachute Battalions and later join up with the 9th Battalion, prior to the assault on the Merville Battery. He died from wounds sustained in the Normandy conflict.
