Name Fraser, Simon Christopher Joseph, 15th Lord Lovat
Description A British Commando and the 24th Chief of the Clan Fraser of Lovat. Prior to the war he served in the Lovat Scouts and the Scots Guards. He went on to lead No. 4 Commando and was awarded the Military Cross in a raid on the French coastal village of Hardelot. In 1944 he was made a brigadier and appointed the Commander of the newly formed 1st Special Service Brigade which was landed at Sword during D-Day to relieve the airborne troops at Pegasus Bridge, accompanied by his piper Bill Millin. He was awarded the Legion of Honour and the Croix de Guerre by the French Fourth Republic.
