Description A soldier in the British Army who was commissioned to the Royal Engineers in 1941, awarded the George Medal for bravery in July 1942, before transferring to 9th Field Coy (Airborne) Royal Engineers. He took part in Operation Freshman, the glider releasing but crash-landing at Fylgjesdalen, north of Stavanger. He was killed along with the two pilots and others Engineers of the company.
