A British Army officer who served with Royal Army Chaplain’s Department and was attached to 7th Parachute Battalion as Padre. He parachuted into Normandy with the battalion during Operation Overlord, landing around the Orne River to relieve glider-borne troops and help wounded soldiers at the Regimental Aid Post in Benouville. He died trying to defend the wounded when the Regimental Aid Post was overrun by the enemy. |
