Description | A pilot of Imperial Airways and then BOAC, where he acted as navigator on their first Trans-Atlantic flight. In 1937 he piloted pressmen from Alexandria to Penang, one of the longest charter flights on record. He was seconded to Atfero in spring 1941 but was killed when Liberator AM261 crashed on the Isle of Arran after take-off on the 10 Aug 1941. |
