Description A gliderborne unit of the British forces during WW2 used as a reconnaissance unit with airborne jeeps to go forward to obtain and pass back information and sometimes as a emergency defence or attack force. It served in North Africa, the seaborne invasion of Italy and later at Arnhem as the 1st Airborne Reconnaissance Squadron.
