Name Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry
Description A light infantry regiment of the British Army formed in 1881 by the amalgamation of the 43rd (Monmouthshire) Regiment of Foot (Light Infantry) and the 52nd (Oxfordshire) Regiment of Foot (Light Infantry). It served in the Second Boer War, WW1 and WW2. In 1958 it was renamed the 1st Green Jackets (43rd and 52nd), forming part of the Green Jackets Brigade.
