| Description | A Royal Engineers unit of the British Army redesignated from the 1st Air troop in Feb 1942 and attached to the 1st Parachute Brigade. It was deployed to North Africa, Sicily, Italy and Arnhem helping to play a crucial role at the bridge from a close by school house. Redesignated as 1st Airborne Squadron RE in March 1945. |
