Air attaché An Air Force officer who is part of a diplomatic mission in a foreign country and is typically the chief of his home air force in the country where he serves..1
Air commodore A one-star air officer rank which originated in the RAF. It is immediately senior to group captain and immediately subordinate to air vice-marshal.2
Air Force Squadron Leader A commissioned air force rank. It ranks above flight lieutenant and immediately below wing commander and it is the most junior of the senior officer ranks.4

Pilot Officer The lowest commissioned air force rank. It ranks immediately below flying officer.4
Wing Commander A senior commissioned rank in the Royal Air Force and the air forces of many other Commonwealth countries. It ranks immediately above squadron leader and immediately below group captain.6
