Bedford Vehicles Bedford_Vehicles A brand of vehicle produced by Vauxhall Motors. A 15 cwt version was developed for the British War Office, entered service in 1939. It appeared in a large range of roles, including as a water tanker, general duties truck, personnel carrier, petrol tanker, wireless truck, anti-aircraft gun tractor and others.1
Buffalo Landing Vehicle Tracked An amphibious warfare vehicle and amphibious landing craft, introduced by the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps. Originally intended solely as cargo carriers for ship to shore operations, they evolved into assault troop and fire support vehicles.1
Daimler Dingo A British light fast four-wheel drive reconnaissance vehicle also used in the liaison role during the Second World War. A Scout Car, known in service as the 'Dingo' (after the Australian wild dog).1
DUKW Amphibious Vehicle A six-wheel drive amphibious modification of the 2.5 ton CCKW trucks used by the U.S. military during WW2 and the Korean War. Known as a 'Duck', it was used for the transportation of goods and troops over land and water.1
